Date And Walnut Cake (Sugar Free)..

Ingredients (12 - 13 Ingredients)

1 1/2 cup chopped dates

I cup whole wheat/all-purpose flour

1/2 cup almond meal

1/2 cup oil

2 tablespoons brown butter

Raisins (optional)

Teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

I cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup honey

I teaspoon vanilla essence

A pinch salt


Add 1 cup of the dates and baking soda to the hot milk and leave it for 45 mins

Now puree the soaked dates and milk mixture

Add the oil, honey, and the melted brown butter to the mixture

Add the almond meal to the mix

Add the extra 1/2 cup of dates to the batter with the chopped walnuts

Lastly, add the flour and the baking powder to the cake mixture..(make sure you sieve the flour)

Bake it at 150 degrees for 50 to 55 mins (Insert a toothpick to see if the cake is baked properly)


If you are doing a vegan cake you can use dairy-free products. This is a sugar-free cake, the sweetness comes from the dates.
