Gasps! Tara Strong Reveals A Shocking Secret She's Never Told Anyone Before!

Tara Strong gave us an answer, not even her co-stars expected. Before we get into that, we all know Tara has had some 'strong' roles in the past, and she continues to do so in the new Hulu original series Crossing Swords, which follows the adventures of Patrick the long-suffering squire (Nicholas Hoult) as he climbs the ladder of knighthood in the service of the volatile King Merriman (Luke Evans).

There are new friends to make, new enemies to vanquish, and new horrors to scar Patrick for life; including bloodthirsty leprechauns, an island of killer monkeys, and a shadowy villain who could destroy everything Patrick has ever known! The second season features an all-star cast of Nicholas Hoult, Adam Ray, Tara Strong, Tony Hale, Luke Evans, Seth Green, Alanna Ubach, Adam Pally, Yvette-Nicole Brown, Maya Erskine, Breckin Meyer, and Wendi McLendon-Covey.

Your Voice Media correspondent Ty Cole chatted with Strong, Brown, and Ray about the second season, a show they snuck to watch as kids, and more!

Q: Tell me a pro about voice acting that you love that you can’t do with on-screen acting?

Brown: Spanx (giggles). What I love about voice-acting is there's no hair, make-up, etc. I can show up in a baseball hat and sweats and do my job.

Q: If there’s one thing you would take from medieval times and apply to today’s world, what would it be?

Ray: Ooooh, definitely a mote. I don't know what that says about me - when I had my play mobile pirate ship as a kid and it was raining in Seattle, I put my ship in the puddle and it fell apart. I did, however, set up the broken boat and set it up like a mote. Definitely the mote or some of the armor, some guards would cool, how much time do we have? (laughs)

Q: What was one show you snuck and watched as a kid you were not supposed to be watching?

Strong: Could it be time to confess some sh*t right now? Probably the worst thing I shouldn't have done - and this is the first time I've ever spoken about this. My dad had a vintage collection of playboys and I probably shouldn't have been looking at those photos (laughs)

Don't worry, there's more crude humor for you as 'Crossing Swords' premiers on Hulu on December 10th.
