There are many ways to enjoy instant noodles and when done right, it can be one of the best comfort foods in the world, especially late at night when hunger strikes.
This is a dry rendition. Great to enjoy on its own or you can serve it with any kind of protein. Our favorites have to be crispy fried eggs or roast pork belly. Don't forget the kimchi if you have some at home!
You'll never see instant noodles the same way again!
To serve 1
Ingredients
1 pack of instant noodles (any brand but pick a mild flavor such as chicken)
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1/2 tbsp oyster or mushroom sauce
1 tbsp fried shallot oil (can use less if you prefer less oil)
1 tbsp fried shallots
chopped coriander & spring onion to garnish
Steps
Cook instant noodles with the seasoning provided according to instructions on the back of the packaging. Drain and side aside.
In a bowl, mix dark soy sauce, ketchup, shallot oil and oyster sauce together.
Add the noodles to the bowl and mix well. You can add some noodle water if you prefer a wetter version.
Garnish with fried shallots, coriander and spring onion.
You can serve this with a protein such as a fried egg or roast pork or chicken. Really anything works!
