Here's the Sequence of Events in the Drama Between Tory Lanez & Megan Thee Stallion

This weekend, Tory Lanez broke his silence about the incident between him and Megan Thee Stallion via a new project titled DAYSTAR. It's release and its timing, following the ruling of the Breonna Taylor case, caused major controversy.

While Stallion fans are upset at anyone who listens to the album, Tory fans are upset that Megan's side of the story is the only one people are listening to. So, to help clear things up a bit, here is what we know so far:

July: The incident took place the second weekend of July. Initially, we only had video of Tory, Meg, and Kylie Jenner, having harmless fun in a swimming pool. Then, a brief (& poor quality) video came out of the cops raiding the vehicle and Megan limping and bleeding.

That Sunday, it was reported that Tory had been arrested for possession of a concealed weapon- a gun they found under the passenger seat of the car.

Later that week: Megan releases a statement saying she was shot, but does NOT disclose the shooter.

July 27th: After her song "WAP" went No.1 she went out in ATL to celebrate and people began to question the validity of her story. **At this point, people started to assume Tory shot her because he had a gun & because he was still quiet; but people were conjuring up their own reasons why, which frustrated Megan.

So, she goes on IG live and reiterates that she was shot. She also got emotional discussing how it affected her, mentions surgery and more. She uploaded pictures of her foot injuries on IG as well.

(*Note: On Tory's new album, he mentions her going live on his birthday...this is what he's referring to.)

Early August: TMZ reported that they saw text messages from Tory to Megan nearly 15 hours after the incident, apologizing. Although, he doesn't specifically reference shooting her, he was sorry for something. Neither party responded when the article came out.

Late August: Megan confirms the people's speculation on IG live and says, "...Tory shot me," as she was exiting the vehicle they were going home in. She also says there were 4 people in the car, including herself and Tory and she said neighborhood residents called the police (*to be noted- there are more witnesses).

STILL NOTHING FROM TORY...

September 24th: Tory finally broke his silence in a tweet that read,

"To my fans...I'm sorry for my silence...but respectfully..I got time today......9 PM PST ."

While most anticipated that he would go live on social media, he instead dropped his new album DAYSTAR on September 25th, which is 17 songs depicting his version of what happen.

In the album, which he recently shared had a set release date for 9/25 to honor the his late mother's birthday and the day she passed, he denies shooting Megan, claims her team is framing him, suggests their relationship was some kind of romantic and more...

Some bars speculated that she was NOT shot. The Toronto rapper says, "How the f*ck you get shot in your foot, don't hit no bones or tendons?" ("Money Over Fallouts"). Some speculate that it simply wasn't him... he says, "If you got shot from behind, how can you identify me?" ("Sorry But I Had Too").

He mentions how even though he's hurt he still wants to reconcile because, in so many words, he loves her. He reminisces bonding over both losing their mothers, visiting each other and more, which make it hard to decipher how romantic, if at all, the relationship was.

Megan hasn't responded directly but there's definitely been some subs...

Take aways:

1. Megan says Tory shot her.

2. Tory denies that allegation but does NOT say specifically what DID happen.

3. Tory hasn't been charged with anything more than the gun possession.

4. According to the footage, there were witnesses...so hopefully, the truth will surface sooner or later.
