The 2020 BET Awards took place last night, hosted by Amanda Seales right from her living room. Performances, award acceptances and more were all virtual. While it was very different from usual, it definitely was worth the watch. Missed it? Don’t worry, here are some of the show’s biggest moments!

1. Megan Thee Stallion

The Houston rapper took home two awards last night. One for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist [beating Cardi B, Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj & more] and a Viewer’s Choice Award for “Hot Girl Summer” ft. Nicki Minaj.

Beyond her accomplishments, her fire performance also has her trending. She performed “Girls in the Hood” and “Savage” (Remix) leaving fans shook when she showed the world why, “he want a b*tch like the Stallion with the knees…” [Meg lyrics].

2. Roddy Ricch

Roddy Rich won Album of the Year for Please Excuse me for Being Antisocial. He also took home Best New Artist & had a very powerful BLM-themed performance with Da Baby (who won Best Male Hip-Hop Artist) of their hit song, “ROCKSTAR.”

3. Lil Wayne

Lil Tunechi gave a heartfelt performance dedicated to Kobe and Gianna Bryant.

4. Wayne Brady

Wayne Brady delivered a phenomenal performance tributing the late pioneer of Rock N’ Roll, Little Richard.

5. Queen Bey

Former First Lady Michelle Obama, presented the Humanitarian award to Beyoncé. She followed up with a beautiful speech and a trailer to her new film “Black is King” to be released on Disney Plus on July 31st.

Shout out to BET for putting on a great show, once again & congrats to all of the nominees and award-winners of last night. See @bet for more of what you may have missed.
