What is your greatest inspiration?
Collaborating with various talented artists with the common goal of combining our forces for good.
What advice would you give your younger Self?
Stop fantasizing about the distant future and focus on your fantasies month-to-month.
What would be a good theme song for your life?
Tubthumping by Chumbawamba
Which role would you say was the most difficult for you to transition into?
The transition from professional dancer and choreographer to now also influencer. Both bring a great deal of stress, but I find social media to be more invasive with my personal life. Finding the balance has been a learning experience.
How do you handle performance anxiety?
Music! Meditation! And my loyal friend, cannabis. When I get super nervous, I just rehearse nonstop until it’s time to perform.
So how did the idea for PrideHouseLA come about? Where do you see PrideHouse going in the near future?
It started with Disney’s Teen Beach videos going viral on TikTok, which brought us all together to create fun content. After our videos took off, we decided we wanted a platform with a stronger message. That led us to creating a queer content house to help LGBTQIA+ friends to feel safe and encouraged to be themselves!
You’ve choreographed for celebs such as Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Vanessa Hudgens also you’ve acted alongside some household names. Which would you say you enjoy more, acting or dancing?
I see them as the same thing; with every dance step, we are acting, and every acting scene is choreography. So, I love them equally!
What advice would you give an aspiring actor, dancer, or entertainer who may be struggling with their sexual identity?
Over everything, remember to be kind and patient with yourself and lean on your support system. You are not alone in your journey! Platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube can help connect you to others in a similar position. Don’t be afraid to speak up. You never know who you can help with your voice and vice versa. Use your daily life and feelings to help inspire your own art. It can help you and those around you to understand you better.
