Kim and Kanye West are on the Brink of Divorce

TMZ reported yesterday that Kim and Kanye have been contemplating divorce for some time now. The last half of 2020 has been rocky for the high profile couple and whether it's over or not is unclear.

The couple has been in marriage counseling according to TMZ's sources, but those of Page Six say, "She's done," referring to Kim. The two have been living separately as well; Kanye at his ranch in Wyoming and Kim with her family in Calabasas.

These living arrangements aren't new, but whether this time apart was to heal and reconcile or prepare for permanent separation, who knows. Apparently, Kim was ready to follow through with the divorce around the time that he was having his bipolar episodes; but because he wasn't well, she chose not to leave.

While the Chicago rapper was indeed ill during his public rants, within them could be reasoning for the talks of divorce. If you remember, a few of his tweets targeted Kim and her mother Kris, saying,

"Kriss and Kim put out a statement without my approval... that's not what a wife should do. White supremacy."

He also said that he's been trying to get a divorce since Kim met with rapper Meek Mill at a hotel to discuss prison reform and he referred to Kris as "Kris Jong-Un." Sources say that he has been fed up with the reality TV family and it could have aided in their potential divorce.

Kim's recent involvement in politics could have also drove a wedge between the couple. As we know, Kim has been adamant about working in prison reform, meeting with Trump to solidify her campaigns etc. while Kanye recently attempted to run for President.

Him being pro-life and making statements such as, "Harriet Tubman didn't free the slaves," may have displayed some differences between the two that were simply too great to work around. One thing the source made clear was that it is NOT because of a third party...

Trying to work things out despite all of their differences is not a surprise. The couple has been married since 2014 and has 4 children together. This would also be Kim's third divorce, following Damon Thomas and then Kris Humphries.

Although, the true evidence that divorce should not be ruled out lays with Laura Wasser, a high end divorce attorney. Kim has hired her and had her on retainer for a little while. Wasser helped Kim in the past with Kris Humphries and her being around now seems like more than a safety net.
