Mark Taylor Says Reuniting On Set With Tia Mowry Was 'Seamless'

Mark Taylor is far from seventeen and is all grown up as he is set to debut in a new Holiday film with former costa, Tia Mowry in the new Lifetime original movie Miracle In Motor City. The film follows Amber Dupont (Mowry) who bites off more than she can chew when she takes charge of her church’s annual Christmas pageant and inadvertently promises to deliver a special performance by Motown Legend, Smokey Robinson.

When her best friends secretly enlist Amber’s former flame Eddie (Taylor) to help – the pair reconnect in a quest to find Smokey and convince him to appear. With the clock ticking, family, friends, and superstar Smokey Robinson come together to stage the most special pageant yet.

It was a "seamless reunion" said Taylor when asked how did it feel to reunite with Mowry after 21 years since filming the Showtime original movie Seventeen Again.

"Tia is a big, loving, and caring personality. She wanted to make sure everyone felt good on set," shared Taylor. "It was good to reunite and the fans were waiting on this for a long time."

He even shares how happy he is to see the outpour from fans who still enjoy the movie to this day.

"It's amazing and makes you feel warm," he expressed. "It's also shocking to know the film we did was so loved. It goes back to the chemistry we had and what the sisters have built-in terms of their career and their brand - the way they connect with viewers and it's great to be a part of it."

After reflecting on working with both sisters and dating the Mowry sisters fictionally, Taylor jokes he's been the only person to do so.

"Tia and I were joking about it and she said how I was the only person to be able to kiss her and Tamera," he laughs. "I'm in the Guinness World Records and I hold that award proudly."

Taylor is excited for folks to see a predominantly Black cast in a holiday film.

"The film is fun," he says. "The fans get to see a predominantly Black cast and experience that, which is rare. The story and the theme of what it's about is something that a lot of people go through. We always think we have life figured out, but sometimes you need to take a step back and see the blessing that could be in front of you."

Don't miss out on your miracle and make sure you watch 'Miracle in Motor City' which airs Sunday, November 28th at 8/7C.
