Silvia Tcherassi, with over 25 years in the fashion industry, is considered as one of the most creative and innovative personalities.She is one of the most celebrated Latin American designers and was the first to be invited to show collections at Milan and Paris Fashion Week as a special guest.

Born in Baranquilla, Colombia, on the shores of the Caribbean sea, she began her career as an interior designer, but the search for new artistic expressions led her into fashion. She received one of the France’s highest honors, becoming Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, an honor bestowed on leaders of the international arts community for their “contribution and commitment to cultural service.”

She wrote the bestseller “Elegancia sin esfuerzo” (Effortless Elegance) about her approach to fashion and style. Her collections include prêt à porter, bridal, home and accessories, which can all be found online, in selected retailers and at her namesake boutiques around the world. Searching to expand her vision beyond fashion, Tcherassi opened her first namesake luxury and Spa hotel in Cartagena, considered one of the best “Designer Hotels” all over the world. Her daughter followed her mother steps studying in a school of design and now collaborate in the creation of the collections.

Tcherassi has been described as ‘revolutionizing the Latin America fashion scene': her style can be defined as eclectic, being at the same time light but bursting. The perfect balance between these two souls is the result of a continuous search for different sources of inspiration.
