Over the weekend , Roman participated in a live YouTube chat with Dr. Heavenly Kimes of Married to Medicine where she discussed some of her personal life , current career opportunities, and reality TV. When asked about her past on the reality series Basketball Wives she stated her last two seasons taught her a valuable lesson about reciprocity and priorities.
She felt her friendship with O’Neal took a turn for the worse and that had a lot to do with her frenemy Evelyn Lozada returning to the series.
She stated “I thought that Shaunie and I were real friends. I think that I put more weight and more value on the friendship than she actually was doing. From my standpoint, I really cared and respected Shaunie a lot, a great deal. And so the last two seasons made me feel like it wasn’t any reciprocity. You gotta acknowledge that and honor it. If people don’t f**k with you like that they just don’t f**k with you. No harm, no foul. But I just realized that it wasn’t that deep for her.”
Roman also stated she wasn’t pleased with her work environment nor some of her cast mates. “The cast changes or the cast additions just wasn’t an environment that I wanted to be in any longer. If they made cast changes yeah, because I liked it. I liked most of the girls on there. But they’re not asking me and I’m not answering. They’re happy I’m gone and I’m happy to be gone.”
And if we’re being honest Tami was treated like a wet blanket throughout her last two seasons on the show, It often felt like Shaunie was playing the favoritism card when it came to Evelyn & Tami.
The actress and reality star has and continues to make great strides in her career thus far. Recently, she has been featured in numerous TV projects, such as Truth be Told, The Family Business, Saints & Sinners and her bonnet chronicle series that airs on YouTube and Tidal. She also has a pilot that she said was recently picked up, sis is booked & busy congrats Tami!
